My visit to Eta Chi started off with a bang! I was super sad to leave home because my visit was AMAZING. I literally cried on the plane and then was picked up at the airport by Chelsea, a sister of Eta Chi. She met me at baggage claim and escorted me to the car as I carried ALL of my luggage by myself to the car. lol No help what-so-ever! She lost the parking stub so the lady asked for her drivers license. She didn't have that either. They preceded to ask me if I had my license which of course I did. They made us switch seats and made me drive out of the airport. Hilarious. I asked if we could stop somewhere on the way back to campus. I felt like the biggest inconvenience ever. I get to my "place of residence" where the sister that lives there isn't home. I tell Chelsea that she doesn't need to wait because she left her car running down stairs. I precede to call James. The sister (Gaby) comes walking down the hallway with my air mattress. I tell James that I will call him back. I get introduced to Gaby and Lindsey, two sisters of Eta Chi. I was very overwhelmed by the situation so I decided to step outside so that i can "make a few calls". I call James back (who already knows that I cried before I left, I cried on the plane, and now I'm miserable. I let him go because I feel bad, and don't want him to hear me being sad. I precede to call Tara! She answers listens to me cry hysterically about not wanting to be here and how much I miss home. Tara is a lifesaver!! I don't think I would survive this job without her. I talk myself in enough circles where I can stop crying and then feel bad for putting her through this yet again! I go back to the room and hang out with Gaby, who is such a sweet girl. I started feeling so much better and actually enjoyed my stay there. I have held most of my meetings, met with the Greek advisor (who is GREAT) and enjoyed the sisters of Eta Chi. They are a great group of girls and I'm glad I am not so sad anymore!! Its literally a choice that I make every second. I make the choice to think positively, to live in the moment, and to get the most out of this experience as possible.
I know this is a great experience and I am trying really hard to not allow my sadness of missing home get in the way of it. It is a once in a lifetime opportunity. I have the rest of my life to be happy and in love with James! As Reeg said, it will make us stronger in ways that we may not even know! I love him and he loves me and I am going to make the most out of this job as I can.
23 more days til i go home btw.
This semester is pretty much smooth sailin' which is what I'm focusing on. I have two more Chapter visits then I'm at BU for 2 weeks which I'm really looking forward to. Then I go home for a whole week for Thanksgiving!! Then I go back to work for less than a month and then off for 3 weeks! YAY!! A whole bunch of time to visit friends, family and spend some good quality time with my favorite man in the world!
Next semester will be interesting. We go back to work Jan 4th and still get our 2 days off (which i totally didn't expect; so yay for that!) Then we get 2 days off in Feb plus we'll be at DLC for a weekend which means i will be with another consultant!! YAY! then we get 2 days off in march and spring break in April! and then we're done in may! When it's all written out it doesn't seem like that much longer, lol. YAY!
well that's it for now!
night!
This blog is for all of those who want to know what the everyday life of a leadership consultant is all about! Hope you enjoy!

It's been a while..
So it's been a while since i've blogged. I'm not exactly sure why.. As I mentioned in my last blog, I absolutely loved my visit with the cal state girls!!
After Cal State I went to visit the Sisters of Gamma Nu at William Jewel College in Missouri. It was absolutely freezing. The girls were nice and I had my own room! From there I headed to AtLanTa with the LHS!! All 8 of us had a mini reunion in Atlanta and we had a great time! From there I headed to the visit the Sisters of Beta Theta in Winnipeg, Manitoba--in Canada!!!!!! They were great girls.. really fun!
THEN I WENT HOME!!! It was great!! The best 3 days i've had in a while. I'm currently sitting in the airport waiting for my flight to Philadelphia. I was suppose to depart already however my flight has been delayed a few minutes.
James is PERFECT for me and I was able to see my favorite Diamond Girls at Sarah's Thatch Bach (Bachelorette party!)
It was a perfect weekend and I wish it didn't end so soon! The good news is I come home in less than a month and I get to stay for a whole week! lol
My schedule is as follows:
Villanova University, University of Delaware, University of Maryland, and then BU for their install!!!!!!!!!!! Then home on the 21st!!

I <3 Eta Rho!!!
So my visit at Eta Rho (Cal State Chico) was fab-u-lous. I loved everything about it. The campus is nice, the town is quaint, the weather is beautiful and the girls are amazing!! I wouldn't change a thing---well except for how tired I was the first 3 days!! It took me until Friday to get acclimated but of course now that I'm use to the time difference I'm leaving.
I loved the girls that I met. They would be my friends in real life!! They reminded me of girls from Epsilon Lambda which was nice. (A little comfort of home!!) I had such a great time with them!! I'll definitely remember this visit and hopefully keep in touch with some of them!
I wish I could have gone out in Chico. The night life sounds fun!! There is a bar literally down the street and it sounds like they're having a GREAT time!! I keep hearing music and cheering it's kind of funny. They have boys on bikes with little carriages to take people home. (i think the name is a peddle pusher?) I think it's hilarious and they blare music. I just saw two girls in one with glow sticks jammin home!! Its a great idea though.
Most everything is within walking distance from the house. How ideal is that!! You can literally walk to a bunch of bars, a bunch of restaurants, starbucks, jamba juice, clothing stores... i mean it doesn't get much better than that!!!
i <3 Chico and the sisters of Eta Rho!!
I want to come back and visit FOR SURE!
good night

Cal State Chico: Eta Rho
I'm loving my first day in Chico. Yesterday was quite the travel day!! I was coming from Lewisburg PA to Chico CA. Ok... Laura and I drove to the Harrisburg airport (1 1/2 away) instead of the Williamsport airport (less than 30 min). Then we realized and drove to Philadelphia which is where my connecting flight was anyway. Well apparently if you don't show up to your first flight, the whole thing gets cancelled. Therefor I had to make a whole new flight plan. O wait, this new flight plan goes from Philly to Las Vegas and from Vegas to Sacramento. O wait, I'm not going to sac, I'm trying to get to Chico! Call the girls and ask them to pick you up! lol
Luckily the lovely sisters at Cal State Chico are AMAZING!! They picked me up no problem and were superstars!! Chico is such a cute place! The girls have all been super welcoming and amazing hostesses!! I went to this place called madison bear garden and got this really delicious burger. It was recommended to me by one of the girls so i thought, "hey, why not!". It has this delicious peanut butter sauce! yum! I went for a walk today around the campus!! It was so beautiful out!
Anyway, thats it for now! BTW, super tired and it's only 430.

o what fun it is to be a kid again!
Laura and I had a great day! We decided it was a great day to take a stroll down Market Street. (It's the street right by her house..) It was a chilly day, but not miserable by any means. We call it "Stars Hollow" like on Gilmore Girls! It is a cute, quaint little town! We walked in and out of shops.. and just enjoying the town! We grabbed some lunch and then made our way back! On our way back, we stopped at the park!! We played on the swings, and raced down the slide... it was fantastic!! I haven't laughed that hard, and smiled that big, in a really long time! It was great! (pics/videos are on fb). We decided to go to this really cute restaurant (Elizabeth's something or another) but it turned out to be kind of fancy! It was excellent though!! We spent a good portion of the day out and it was fabulous!!
I got home and got the sweetest note from Maggie! (the President of Zeta Zeta!)
Thanks Maggie, love you and miss you tons!!
